Piart Yachts Trawler
2012
Introducing a modern trawler yacht designed for Piart Yachts in 2012. Traditionally, trawlers are known for their heavy, high-volume profiles prioritized for long-range, displacement cruising. My objective was to completely redefine this category with a contemporary, architectural approach. As a Yacht exterior designer, I replaced the conventionally bulky aesthetics with sharp, faceted lines and a commanding plumb bow, giving the hull a highly efficient and modern stance. The extensive use of angular, oversized glazing intelligently breaks up the visual mass of the superstructure while flooding the expansive interior with natural light. This project demonstrates how the massive volume required for extended voyages can be perfectly balanced with sleek, forward-thinking exterior styling.
